Today I spent the day getting things organized at the office for Children With Hope. WOW that was something that really needed done. So now we are ready to get a lot of children. So as I was working today we received an email from Horace that said we got two more babies today. So it is official. Joyce and Demeres now have forever homes.
What a blessing this has been for our family and what a humbling experience to allow me to join in his work in Africa. I feel so overwhelmed when I really start thinking about it and how much I have to grow in the Lord and in life yet God is using me and our family in such an amazing way.
Gods Grace is enough

Well today Thom and I are getting ready for the big Children With Hope Sunday. We are hoping we have all our stuff together. We are wanting to come across as if we have it all figured out. hehe
So I talked with Phylis yesterday and there are four more children coming this week. And maybe Nancy and Maggie because they didn't last with their mother. So they are with the grand mother and that isn't a good situation.
So the new kids that are coming are youngest to oldest. Reuben 5 months, Joyce 9 months,Moses 2 year and Demeres 3 years old. Moses is deaf, and Joyce has a cleft palate that will need surgery. She has to gain some weight first. Phylis is just the gal to do that.
Our prayer first and for most is that the children that the Lord wants to be part of Children With Hope are placed in Horace and Phylis hands.

But he lifted the needy out of their affliction and increased their families like flocks. Psalms 107:41
These are the children that will lead their country one day. These are the children we have the privilege of guiding to the Lord and his wonderful healing power.

Yesterday was a hard day for Thom and I. We found out that two of the children from Kenya were given back to their mother. I know she loves her kids but sometimes you just have to love them enough to do what is the best for them. So Nancy and Maggie are back with their mom who is dying of AIDS and can not work, so in turn she can not feed them and shelter them. So it is really hard for me to wrap my mind around. But I know that God loves them More then Horace and Phyllis can and surely more then I can , so I will rest in knowing He has a plan for their lives. My prayer t=is that the seed that was planted in both the girls and their mother would grow into a strong tree.

Where am I at today

Well today is officially the first day in which I have started telling my clients I am quitting. WOW after almost 20 years of being someones hairstylist who am I???
Well that is the question I am about to find out.
So here it all goes. My new life.
Well maybe not too new just different.
